ELEV8 Senior Midfielder Eli Cross Commits to Belmont Abbey College
Calgary AB, April 21, 2017 – Media Release – ELEV8 Lacrosse Founder Geoff Snider, is pleased to announce that Eli Cross, has committed to Belmont Abbey College and will head east to North Carolina. The ELEV8 Senior midfielder, will join the Crusaders men’s lacrosse team and compete in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas.
Cross a 2016 graduate of John G. Diefenbaker High School in Calgary, Alberta, has been training with ELEV8 Lacrosse for the past 6 years in various programs including, ELEV8 Elite Fall Travel, EXPtc, and Calgary Field. He finished his minor box lacrosse career with the Calgary Hornets Lacrosse club and is currently playing Junior box lacrosse with the Calgary Shamrocks. Cross is a multi-sport athlete and also plays rugby and hockey.
On his training and development with ELEV8 Lacrosse, Cross stated, “My experience with ELEV8 has been amazing, from day one the coaches pushed me to be the best player I could be on the field and the best person I could be off the field. I’ve met so many great people through this program that will be friends for life.”
Cross is planning to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree and major in Sports Management. “I chose Belmont Abbey because I believe it was the best for me. Coach Snider dedicated a lot of his time helping me secure this opportunity and it’s all thanks to ELEV8 Lacrosse that I have this opportunity to play college lacrosse,” he shared.
ELEV8’s coaching staff are very proud and delighted for Cross, ELEV8 Founder Geoff Snider stated, “We could not put into words what a pleasure it has been to coach Eli. He is a high character kid and a very fine young man. We certainly project him to do well on the field as well as in the classroom in College. His attitude, work ethic and strong leadership skills inspired his team mates to work hard to achieve success.”

ELEV8 is aimed to develop and provide the highest level of instruction for the growing sports of field and box lacrosse for Canadian student-athletes.
