ELEV8 2018 Jacob Motiuk Commits to Seton Hill

Jacob Motiuk has verbally committed to Seton Hill University. He’s the fifth ELEV8 2018 to commit, and the third student-athlete in ELEV8 Lacrosse Club history to select Seton Hill University.

We talked with Jacob to celebrate and share his commitment. We encourage student-athletes and parents alike to read and learn from his story.

Position:  Midfielder

High School:  Notre Dame High School, Class of 2017

College Commitment:  Seton Hill University

Current Team:  ELEV8 Lacrosse 2018

On selecting Seton Hill University:

“I picked Seton Hill because I loved the campus, team atmosphere, as well as, the intensity the team practiced and played with.  Everything about Seton Hill appealed to me, including the location, coaching staff, team campus. I intend on taking biology and possibly bio chemistry at Seton Hill.“

On preparing for the recruitment process:

“To anyone coming up and trying to get recruited. You need to go out of your way and look up and email the schools that you want to go to. It is essential to be polite and respectful of the coaches you are taking to. To prepare myself academically I really turned it up with the home work. Athletically, I got in the gym, put in the work, and ultimately it helped shape my game and make me a more reliable and sound player.”

On his experience with ELEV8 Lacrosse:

“The coaching staff, and especially Geoff, really helped me through this process. He was always involved with everything that was going on and on the recruiting side; he was very resourceful. “

ELEV8 Founder Geoff Snider on Jacob Motiuk:

“Jacob is a terrific student-athlete who has grown tremendously on the heels of his compete level and work ethic.  We have been incredibly fortunate to watch Jacob develop into the young man and leader that he is today through his very tenured participation in the ELEV8 Program.  Our coaching staff is very excited for Jacob’s next steps into the NCAA as we feel he will make an immediate impact in the Griffins Lacrosse Program, Seton Hill Campus, and within the student body.”
