GEOFF SNIDER

Founder and CEO

Founder and CEO of ELEV8 Lacrosse Inc., Geoff Snider, has played 19 Seasons of professional lacrosse. His complete dedication at all levels of the sport is both genuine and passionate. Geoff is compelled to assist ELEV8 student-athletes reach their maximum potential while creating enriched training and learning opportunities both on and off the field.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Geoff began his lacrosse career with the Burnaby Lakers of the BC Junior ‘A” Lacrosse League, winning three Minto Cups (1998, 2000, and 2002). Originally a 2001 first-round draft pick of the Vancouver Ravens, Geoff chose to play collegiate lacrosse with the University of Denver Pioneers and was again eligible for the NLL Draft following graduation. In 2006, Geoff was drafted into the MLL by the Denver Outlaws in the first round, seventh overall, and into the NLL by the Philadelphia Wings in the first round, fourth overall.

During his professional NLL playing career with the Calgary Roughnecks and Philadelphia Wings, Geoff was the two-time NLL All-Star MVP (2008 & 2012), the NLL’s all-time leader in regular season faceoff wins (2,468) and playoff wins (208). Geoff was named to five NLL All-Star games (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 & 2012).

In addition to his NLL playing career, Geoff was drafted by the Denver Outlaws of the MLL and played in the MLL All-star Game representing the Western conference. He participated in two MLL championships, in 2008 with the Denver Outlaws and with the 2009 champions, the Toronto Nationals.

On the international stage, Geoff has represented Canada seven times at the Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship four times as a player capturing two gold medals (2006 & 2014), two silver medals (2010 & 2018) and a World Championship MVP Award (2006). Geoff has represented Canada three times as an Assistant Coach (2012, 2016, 2022) with the National Men’s Under 19 Canadian Field Lacrosse Team.

When not playing lacrosse, Geoff is focused on developing the ELEV8 Lacrosse brand; educating and developing student-athletes to take the next step in their lacrosse career and become excellent citizens in the community. Geoff looks forward to spearheading the program’s influence throughout Canada in the coming years.

BOB SNIDER

Vice President and Director of Player Development

Bob was born and raised in Calgary, AB, and began his lacrosse career with the Calgary Hornets Lacrosse Association. In 2003, he started playing for the Burnaby Lakers in the BC Junior A Lacrosse League as a defensive player and quickly climbed the ranks to be named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2006. He also helped his team bring home 3 Minto Cup championship titles.

After his time with the Lakers, Bob was off to Louisville, KY, to play for Bellarmine University Knights Lacrosse team. While studying for his BA in Business Administration with a minor in Economics, Bob was named Team Captain of the Bellarmine Knights. He also boasts bragging rights for holding the record in face-off wins and ground balls with the Knights.

In 2010, Bob was drafted 16th overall in the NLL entry draft by the Philadelphia Wings. He is an eleven-year NLL veteran, having played for Philadelphia, Washington, Colorado, Calgary, and Vancouver. In 2019, he became an NLL Champion with the Calgary Roughnecks.

Since 2007, Bob has been Director of Player Development with the ELEV8 Lacrosse program. He is also the Head Coach of the Hong Kong Men’s Representative National Team competing in the 2023 World Championships and an NLL Scout for the San Diego Seals.

His extensive lacrosse experience allows him to know what it takes to develop the skills necessary to compete and succeed in all levels of lacrosse.

TEAM SUPPORT

Dr. Ian Auld

Team Physician

Dr. Auld earned an honours Kinesiology degree from the University of Victoria in 1995, he then studied medicine at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1999. A family medicine residency brought Ian out to Calgary where he graduated in 2001.

Dr. Auld has been working in the field of sport medicine for the last 13 years and is presently a team physician for the Calgary Flames, Calgary Stampeders, Calgary Hitmen, and Hockey Canada’s men’s and junior programs. With Hockey Canada, he has been on 5 world championship teams (World Junior 2005, 06, 09) and Men’s (2004, 2007). He is also serving as a team physician for Canada’s National Alpine Ski team.

Dr. Auld is married with two children and is a competitive cyclist in his spare time.
