ELEV8 2018 Jayden Fraser Commits to Maryville

JAYDEN FRASER

Jayden Fraser verbally commits Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. He’s the first ELEV8 Lacrosse student-athlete to commit to the Division II program.

We spoke with Jayden to share his commitment. We encourage student-athletes and parents alike to read and learn from his story.

College Commitment:  Maryville University, Class of 2022

High School: Centennial Collegiate, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Current Club Team: ELEV8 Elite 2018

On his involvement with the recruiting process:

“Trust the coaches and really listen to everything that they tell you. They know the game. Work hard. Even if you are not as talented as the person beside you, you can still stand out by working hard.”

On his experience with ELEV8 Lacrosse:

“The ELEV8 coaches have an unbelievable impact on all of the student-athletes by always pushing us and motivating us to be the hardest workers on and off the field and to be genuinely good people who make a positive impact wherever we are. The morals of the program are outstanding, and I believe that is why it has had so much success.”

Fraser who lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan traveled weekly to attend practices in Calgary, Alberta. “Traveling to Calgary to be coached by such a knowledgeable group of people and learning more about the game in the two years than I have in all my other years of lacrosse” demonstrates the work ethic and commitment to achieve his lacrosse goals

On his fondest lacrosse memory:

“My fondest memories are making life-long friends with teammates and enjoying the game with them. Playing in tournaments across Canada with them, as well as traveling to the States.”

ELEV8 Lacrosse Head Coach Geoff Snider on Jayden Fraser:

“One of the most satisfying things in coaching is when you see student-athletes achieve their long-term goals. I always enjoy sitting down with our student-athletes, listening to their goals, and putting an action plan together to be successful.

Jayden’s level of commitment to pursuing collegiate lacrosse has been infectious within our group. We are very excited about this next chapter for Jayden, our entire coaching staff looks forward to watching him make an immediate impact at Maryville both in the classroom and on the field.”
